5th Cir. changes its mind in the case of a disabled man who was picked up by local cops, dumped at the county line, then hit and killed by a car.

It now says it's unconstitutional to arrest and dump vagrants, but a reasonable officer couldn't have known that. Immunity for all.
The court had previously ruled that it was unconstitutional for the police to seize people for the purpose of ridding the county of vagrants, and that this should have been obvious.

Former Rep. Duncan Hunter, who has pleaded guilty to misusing campaign funds to finance affairs and other personal stuff, says the case against him should be dismissed because two of the prosecutors had previously been present at a Hillary Clinton fundraiser.
(Hunter's lawyers had previously made an almost identical motion to dismiss the case, which didn't go well.)

(I'm not literally live-tweeting, but I am transcribing notes I wrote while watching, so it'll be a little stream-of-consciousnesses.)
For context:

I have seen the original and prequel trilogies exactly once, several years ago. (I remember very little.) I've seen The Force Awakens . . . thrice, maybe? Four times? I saw The Last Jedi once, and I saw The Rise of Skywalker when it came out last month.
I saw Rogue One once, but HEARTILY disliked it, so I'm not sure I want to include that one in my rewatch. I never saw Solo and I don't think it's on Disney Plus right now. We'll see about that one. I may or may not still have access to TROS by the time I get to its slot in line.

Today in the shower caddy section, I fantasized about starting a podcast called, "WELL MAYBE IT WASN'T MADE FOR YOU, SUSAN!"

Each episode would just be me sharing about a product or service that people mock, or judge as lazy, that's actually life changing for #disabled people.
Today's episode would have been about waterproof holders that let you bring your phone into the shower. A woman in the aisle loudly remarked to her friend how ridiculous it is that "ppl these days are so glued to their smart phones that they cant even manage a shower without it."
You know who showers with their cellphone? I do. I used to have to choose between showering only when my husband was home in case I slipped or couldn't get back up from my shower seat, or taking the risk that I would fall and be stuck there until he came home that night.
