You literally cannot convince me that any amount of code, no matter how complex, *absolutely no matter what*, can be larger than a few megabytes. That is *millions* of instructions. No. I don't believe you. There is more to it. Someone is doing something they shouldn't be doing.
chrome.dll is 123 megabytes. you cannot convince me that is program code. Someone has put something in there that doesn't belong there. maybe it's full of plaintext HTML documents, or baked in bitmaps, or some other bullshit, but it's not code.
there is absolutely no way that there's 21 gigs of shit in C:\Windows that isn't stupid bullshit that should never have been on my computer to begin with. I absolutely reject all possible explanations.
It's bitmaps, or shitloads of translations of a PDF I will never read, or something. I can't even begin to speculate. I can't fathom what it could be, but someone - or more accurately, tons of someones - did something inexcusable because "it's only a few megabytes"
the only thing i'm willing to believe is that this is all due to some runaway process. like when game devs are struggling through 13fps gameplay for months until someone discovers that every single time an object does Think() it's reindexing every folder in C:\Temp
Someone did something that was "only a couple megs" on a small scale and then that thing got replicated millions and millions of times. I do not believe humans are *capable* of producing 21 gigabytes of *code*
Somehow, some way, it's redundant, generated content.
I will accept no answers or arguments on this unless you have personal, firsthand experience reverse engineering exactly this kind of thing and can give hard answers.
