From the time Volodymyr Zelensky won the presidency in Ukraine, Trump had an unusual amount of interest in Zelensky.

Since 2013, Ukraine had been fighting Russian forces and needed foreign aid from the international community to stave them off. bit.ly/384NGFV

Trump knew foreign aid was what Ukraine needed most, and a new aid package of $391 million was approved for 2019.

But then, it was delayed. Trump told acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney to hold back the aid without providing much of an explanation.

And then Trump and Zelensky spoke on the phone on July 25, 2019.

In the call, Trump requested that Zelensky get his country's prosecutor to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. bit.ly/384NGFV

Rudy Giuliani was named an "informal" cybersecurity advisor to the White House, which means he wasn't paid and would not be held to the same ethics standards as official advisors.

Ultimately, after a weeks-long trial, President Donald Trump was found not guilty of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
