Pete is out. He ran a good and historic campaign and took some really crappy "not queer enough" potshots. He'll have a big future in Democratic politics and whomever the nominee is would be smart to harness him.

People will rush to think this will only help Biden. Maybe, but I think people have really over-indexed the "ideological lane" analysis.

Could see it helping Warren too. They have ~different policies, but there's something of a shared "happy wonk warrior" about them both.

It shouldn't have taken a pandemic to cancel SXSW
Luckily I have muted all variations of "SXSW" for 3+ years and so will see none of your replies.
But will just add that every conference everywhere should be rethought, if not cancelled, due to the enormous ecological toll of the travel and the swag and the dumbass pitch decks and the general lack of ROI.

#democratic primary: It's 12/1 and just over 2 months to the IA caucuses. So what the heck is going on in this primary that's being conducted in the middle of a constitutional crisis? Well, the bottom line is that young voters are steadier in their preferences than older voters.
Taking @surveyusa polling from Aug-Nov, we see that the 18-34 vote has barely moved for Warren (-1), Pete (+1), Biden (+2) and Harris (-1). For Bernie, there was a big drop of -10 from Aug to Sept, but has since stabilized at 35, highest of any candidate in that demo.
Among 35-49 voters, since Aug, Liz is +2, Pete (0), Bernie (-1), Joe (-5) and Harris (-4). Among 50-64 voters: Warren (+2), Pete (0), Bernie (-1), Biden (-4), Harris (-5). Among 65+: Warren (-13), Pete (+7), Bernie (+2), Joe (-4), Harris (-5).

Over time, if my view changes along these lines (#TeamPatriot hashtag not connected to a psychological operation), I will make that clear. For the time being, I will write in this thread (and in replies) with respect to my current viewpoint.
Using "psychological operation" as a term calls to mind conspiracy theories, intelligence activities, etc., which are legitimate considerations of course. However, since we are dealing human communication, the ancient art of rhetoric is always on the table of analysis.

2) When the Swan flew out, it was immediately butchered by imbeciles not understanding that you can’t predict the unpredictable.

That is the point – and an IQ filter NNT himself proly did not expect.
