#SupremeCourt bench of Js. Banumathi, Js. Bopanna hearing the Case “RitikaSharan V SujoyGhosh”, Family matter pertaining to child custody. Application of released of passport of child from Husband was filed by wife. Child is 7 years old.

Wife has got a temporary job in Singapore. Husband works for WIPRO and wife works as Asia Head of Nike, whose Indian office is closing. So they have asked to work in Singapore.

Today:- Js. Banumathi asked Wife's counsel - If child is taken to Singapore, how will Husband have access to the child?
Counsel(wife) - She is ready to bear expenses if husband wants to visit. She is ready to report to Indian Embassy.

Js. Banumathi- Which other cases are pending
Counsel- Case of divorce for cruelty and also for guardianship is pending.
Js. Banumathi- Why don't you settle? Child is with wife's parents already.

Js. Bopanna- Child will be having a circle of friends with whom he plays.
Counsel(Husband)- I only want to see child once a month. Wife is not interested in mediation.

Judges- If you agree on divorce petition, we can ask them to come here tommorow. In addition to visitation rights he can also share vacations.
Counsel(Husband)- He is worried that if child is taken out of country he will never come back as it happens in so many cases.

Counsel (husband) - We jointly own a house in Bangalore. I was thrown out of my house.
Justices- Take instructions from clients if they are ready for amicable settlement of case and come tomorrow.
