I often describe my husband as the love child of Mr. Darcy and Eeyore. As such, he eschews notice and publicity, however, Mr. Kowal has granted permission to acknowledge that he is having hip replacement surgery today.

I shall endeavor to give updates in an appropriate manner.
In the Hundred Acre Wood, Mr. Kowal finds himself deep in slumber under the attentions of his surgeon. That honorable person has informed us that he shall be occupied with his labors for some two hours yet.

I further believe that they will protect him from Woozles.
Via a mechanism of a large, though unadorned, glamoural upon the wall, the physician's assistant has informed me that the hip surgery is formally underway and that Mr. Kowal is "doing very well."

In addition, we have seen no sign of Heffalumps.
I have been informed that the surgery proceeds apace and is nearing completion. Mr. Kowal continues to be in good health and slumbers without interruption.

After partaking in a fast as part of his preparations, I believe a pot of honey may be in order.
It is with some relief that I report that the procedure is complete. It shall be some time yet before I am reunited with Mr. Kowal, so I remain grateful for your considerate thoughts.

The sun is filtering through the trees here at Hundred Acre Woods.
The glamoural upon the wall has shifted to an alarming red, which means nothing more untoward than completion. My dearest husband is in the recovery chamber and I await notice of when I might join him.

It might be some time yet, as Woozles are likely in the vicinity of his room.
My husband's surgeon has spoken with me and reports that the surgery went well and he is well-pleased with Mr. Kowal's condition.

I did not insult his integrity by inquiring about Heffalumps as I am certain he remains vigilant against such.
Further, the surgeon reports that Mr. Kowal's recovery proceeds in the most correct manner and when it is time, I will be summoned to join him. I shall, of course, continue to keep you apprised until such time.

Tigger has offered his assistance but we have declined at this time.
Lo! I have been summoned.
Mr. Kowal and I have been reunited, although the environs diminished our evident ardor, I assure you it was no less. Whilst in recovery, I could call upon him for no longer than ten minutes per hour.

Kanga is attendance, for whose skills as a nurse I hold the highest regard.
Mr. Kowal has taken a turn about the ward with impeccable bearing and carriage. He shall reside with these fine nurses and physicians until the morrow at which point he will be consigned to my care.

Elsie reports that our abode is free of Heffalumps and awaits our return.
