JUST IN: The Judiciary Committee is seeking a rehearing of the McGahn case, saying an earlier Appeals Court ruling left the House with only extreme options to get info from the WH — such as arresting high-level officials.
The House also reiterated (for the first time post-impeachment) that it could consider new articles, perhaps for criminal obstruction of justice, if McGahn's testimony supports it.
NEW: The House Judiciary Committee says the ruling denying its effort to obtain MCGAHN's tesitmony would eviscerate congressional oversight of the president.

CBP apologizes for the inconvenience of airport delays and wait times. Doesn’t mention anything about the risk of turning airports into giant sardine cans.
I’ve been correctly chastened that there’s not an apology here, just an acknowledgment of the inconvenience.

The point though is there’s not even a glancing acknowledgment of the enormous danger to public health it is to turn airports into jampacked seven-hour Petri dishes.

JUST IN: House Judiciary files motion opposing a stay in the McGahn case, saying “the delay from such a stay would impair the House’s ongoing impeachment inquiry.”
MORE: “Even if evidence from McGahn is not
obtained before the House has completed its investigation, there is still an urgent need for that evidence because it could potentially be used if there is an impeachment trial in the Senate.”
This new filing from the House tonight makes clear that Dems intend to use Mueller/obstruction in some way, shape or form in the impeachment process.

1. #McGahn case now makes three cases #SCOTUS can tee up to rule on by the time we hold the impeachment trial:

1. McGahn on the total immunity claim;

2. Vance grand jury on power of states over sitting president;

3. House Mazars case on Congress' power to get tax returns.
2. That pretty much covers the issues.

I went back to US v Nixon case where #SCOTUS ruled against Nixon on the White House tapes. I was curious how long it took.

The case was an appeal from Judge Sirica's district court order on a subpoena. He entered it on May 20, 1974.
3. Cert was granted on June 15, 1974. SCOTUS ruled on the case on July 24, 1974. Sixteen days later, Nixon resigned August 9, 1974.

If Roberts drags this out he will own all of Trump's crimes. His name will be infamous. I think he'l rule fast.
