First some rules
1. 45% of the ERG are "Reversers" - it's always the case that the opposite of what they say is correct. This can be useful ofc. Image

2. Another 45% are "Distractors". Like an indirect Reverser, but by omission. Anything they don't say is true.

Both of these groups have pure motivations - personal gain, bribes political influence; the Billionaire Offshore press is blackmailing them etc.

3. A surprisingly small 5% are Zealots. e.g. believing UK will single-handedly change Global Trade.

Or No Deal hasn't left us with no leverage, totally screwed.

A friend just went to 4 asian countries. He's back now and self isolating. His comment

Was unfortunate enough to spend some time in the company of a particularly ranty Eurodetester today.

Ofc Brexit was going brilliantly, sunlit uplands in sight yada yada.

But the hate. Like so many he wanted collapse. To see "it 🔥". The whole thing come crashing down. 1/3
It was visceral, an anger so loathing, his skin sweated it. I'd call it racism, but they are us. We are them. Genetically. When asked why, he gave froth at the mouth replies, unable to differentiate between our allies in the EU and the bureaucrats of the EU who work for them 2/3
But what was most noticeable after the rant was someone else stuck at the table unable to move.

She was maybe 25 and her simple question left him blustering.

"So, the thing burns, you get your reward, and then we have a fractured nationalist Europe to deal with. What next"?

The question that should be put by journalists to @michaelgove and every other government spokesperson “politely disagreeing” with the Supreme Court is:

Which part of the judgment is wrong?

Justiciability or lawfulness? [1/4]
If they say “justiciability”, they are saying that any government should be allowed to suspend Parliamentary scrutiny indefinitely, no matter how egregious the motive, purpose or effect. They are subjugating Parliamentary supremacy to Prime Ministerial diktat. [2/4]
If they saw “lawfulness” - i.e there was a reasonable justification for prorogation, the Queen’s speech - ask why Mr Johnson refused to give a sworn witness statement confirming this. And why he has spent the past day briefing that the court’s decision “frustrates Brexit”. [3/4]

The case brought by Jo Maugham, Joanna Cherry et al has produced a surprise result at Scotland's Inner House court. Judges have deemed the PM's advice was unlawful. This is being celebrated by Remainers. 1/
Firstly, the summary being circulated *is not the actual judgement*. That gets issued on Friday 13 September (unlucky for who, we can only hazard a guess). What we have here is a press release, issued, no doubt, by Jo Maugham & his merry Parliamentarians. 2/
Next, this is obviously being appealed. The Supreme Court scheduled emergency hearing on Gina Miller's case, the NI case & this one together on 17 September. As the arguments of the plaintiffs are essentially the same, this is a sensible use of overstretched court resources. 3/

I speak from industry experience when I say: Someone failed to do their job properly.
