I myself had not one big wedding but one very small ceremony and 5 small receptions comprised of different stakeholders and geographies. I highly recommend this approach even in a non-pandemic year. Here's why: 2/
+ Having smaller receptions enables them to be held in more intimate venues when you can really enjoy each guest
+ Less expensive as only the bride and groom need to travel and plans can be made more ad-hoc
+ Reduces awkwardness of certain circles not interacting well 3/

+ Allows the nature of each mini celebration to suit different groups of celebrants.
+ It doesn't all need to be held at exactly the same weekend. Our five receptions were spread over 6 months. If at no other time in your life, people will understand. 4/

That said, weddings are expensive and given the #marketcrash and uncertainty, it would be understandable to postpone or scale back. Find some way to #FlattenTheCurve
