Same script since forever - what happens when the global economy nears crisis? There's a flight to US assets, Washington gets free money (that they choose not to spend on their own people) and all the economies dependent on the vagaries of price and FX are double fucked
It's almost like when the countries of the Third World sought to change the rules of the global economy after World War II and decolonization they had kind of a point. Just bad luck I guess that a certain new hegemonic power crushed so many of those leaders
