I had a disturbing conversation on Twitter yesterday that is very revealing about the divisions in our country. Someone with whom I had previously had NO disagreements (we followed each other) suddenly started calling me out for "SIN" because I don't support Medicare For All.
She was quite emphatic about the fact that a Christian CANNOT have any other view except to embrace Single Payer Healthcare. To reject M4A is to be "unchristian", a "Christofascist", and "in sin".

Now, understand, I have always been vocal about the need to care for the poor and
feed the hungry and take care of the sick. I am totally on board with helping those who cannot afford healthcare or health insurance. In no way do I advocate the neglect of or abandonment of those who are in need.

I just don't believe that M4A or Single Payer Healthcare is the

1/6 It's interesting seeing older Americans go into a rage against single-payer #healthcare considering the United States already has a form of single-payer, only an extremely limited, shittier version.
2/6 Boomers complain that they don't want their money to be used to provide other people medical care—that they want their money to go to their own care—but that's *exactly* what they're doing when purchasing private health insurance.
3/6 When you purchase an insurance plan, your money is being collected by that insurance company in order to provide coverage for everyone under their network.

No one cared when Obamanation took my health care.
My family and I still have no insurance - we don't qualify under ACA giveaways.
Let EVERYONE pay the same price I did.
We have to pay cash or not go + $700 per person PENALTY on taxes!
I had insurance, could afford my healthcare my whole life. Why complain? The democrats destroyed it! Obama lied about how many didn't have "health care". It's MORE now. It's was never healthcare. It was an insurance scam.
There was never a health CARE problem. There was a COST problem.
Cost of giving "free" stuff to those who had no accountability for it was the CAUSE of the problems. It began with medicaid/medicare.
We were giving it to people who were illegal aliens as well as the poor.
