Dude with the same name as mine who keeps using my e-mail account just literally opened a bank account tied to my e-mail.

I'm basically getting all his personal and financial data and this is how hell looks like

Seriously, what this thread is telling me is that we are overdue for standards and regulations around e-mail confirmation. All this mumbojumbo about 2FA solves nothing if regular people give away their data to wrong e-mail addresses this easily.
And I'm not talking about small companies: Apple let him register an account with my e-mail. Frigging Apple. And I spent hours explaining Apple support how messed up this was.

Banks. We're talking about financial institutions here.

Installing a printer in the 80s:

1-Plug parallel cable
2-Print

Installing a printer in the 2020s:

1-Wait 30 minutes for the printer wake
2-Fill up 20 different forms
3-Reject 45 attempts to upsell into subscriptions
4-Fill up the position and route of 4 nearest satellites
5-Ok now you need to install an app that finds an app that can install the app for the app
6-Print a weird paper and scan it back so the printer knows what the fuck it just printed
7-Configure an e-mail address for the printer
8-Send an e-mail to the printer saying go to hell
9-Oh I'm sorry, doing the print test used all the ink
10-Buying new ink costs 10 times the printer's price.
11-It would have costed less if you signed up for the subscription. Do you want to sign up for the subscription now?

O.k., so this is me, 15 years ago, building a data center. That's what I used to do for money. This one was about 30 racks, and I was the project lead. It took me about a year to build it, everything from initial design to labeling cables.
