Dow Futures plummeting during Trump’s speech
As Trump keeps talking, the futures are just getting worse
Unless I heard things wrong, Trump pushed Paid Family Leave, but only if you have Coronavirus. How in the hell does one prove they qualify?!
I want Trump to be successful, but tonight’s address was a disaster. Futures down 350 points and half-measure solutions. America needed a Valium and Trump gave us LSD

Having read Woodward’s Fear, here’s stuff that stood out:

•Peter Navarro sent Trump March 2017 memo saying enemies within WH seek to derail Trump agenda
•Trump leaked John Dowd’s resignation to NYT & Washington Post
•Jared had DACA deal with Graham & Durbin. Kelly killed it
Woodward cont’d:

•Lyndsey Graham advised national security officials to have China assassinate Kim Jong Un & replace with NK general friendly to US & China
•Mnuchin was so loathed by congressional Republicans, he was banished during tax reform to avoid him screwing up the bill
More Woodward:

•Trump had plan to get allies to join in coalition against China on trade through 301 investigation. However, he undercut himself & pushed allies away when he imposed steel tariffs before investigation ended
•Trump had private dinner with McCains in April 2017

•GOP doesn’t care about them? 85% Blacks, 76% Asians, 75% Latinos & 62% Whites
•Only 20% ID as GOP
•Of millennial GOPers, 58% say they’re “not very strong” GOP
•GOP fav/unfav 26/60

And the GOP thinks it isn’t a problem that the largest portion of electorate & gen in the US is rejecting them. They believe millennials will become conservative as they age. It’s lunacy. Oldest now 37, youngest 21. Vast majority have jobs, pay taxes, etc, but still not going GOP
Current GOP strategy to win millennials over? Dank memes, reinforcing belief minorities don’t matter to us & routinely insult them saying they’re lazy, entitled, spoiled, brainwashed by libs & want free stuff. We mock millennials when we should talk about issues important to them
