I am so amazed by the hard work people are doing to prepare us for what’s happening and try to make it less bad and to educate us about what is happening and what we can do — and for the kindness that I am already seeing happening all over the place.
We are going to get through this, but we need to be honest about our vulnerabilities, big and small — and about the changes we need to make, both immediately and in the long term, to alleviate those vulnerabilities.
