The pain of Marielle’s assassination never subsided - not for our family nor for the millions in Brazil who she inspired. Writing her obituary for the @Independent was one of the hardest things I’ve done, but it still helps me to remember her unique force: independent.co.uk/news/world/ame…
The still shamefully-unresolved question — Who Ordered the Assassination of Marielle Franco? — will never go away, hovering over Brazilian authorities as a toxic stain. We all know powerful people want it hidden. Huge numbers refuse to rest until it’s answered:
