45 days will give people time to update their registration and request a mail in ballot.

Although, while we're at it, give us same/election day registration!

With @maricopacounty closing 1/3 of polling locations days before voting, there's going to be chaos. We can use this as an opportunity to modernize our system.

We're asking the legislature to be proactive on this. It's time for us to implement changes to make voting safer & easier for everyone. It shouldn't have taken a pandemic for us to start looking at changes.

1. Implement same day registration. No more 30 day deadline. We have online registration already
2. Mailing out ballots to ALL registered voters & providing drop boxes will lessen the need for polling locations
