Last evening ABP’s Bangla channel Ananda ran a debate on the efficacy of GOMUTRA. Fine. Now I’d like to see them run a debate on PURDAH,BURQA or HIJAB. Which are another set of names for imprisoning half of humanity inside moving black tents.

Some seem upset that I had suggested ABP Ananda hold a debate on Purdah,Burqa or Hijab. I wonder why? For instance,it could be validly argued that the piece covering the mouth was equivalent to today’s ubiquitous mask,legislated by divine apprehension of the pandemic!

I was told the story by one Ranjit Kar,retired Chief Petty Officer,Indian Navy. He was present in the compartment and was saved only because he wore pyjamas instead of the customary dhoti.

Indian Hindus,especially those from East Bengal: forget such incidents at your peril.
After I posted above tweet,Shri Shyamalesh Das,a retired Professor and writer,called me up to remind me how his father and elder brother were knifed on the train and thrown out betn Talshahar and Ashugonj stations at the approach of Meghna Bridge. Their bodies were never found.

Indian Muslims today are full citizens of India. No quarrel with that.

But to establish this why is it necessary to peddle the politically-correct lie that bulk of the Muslims in today’s India did not want Pakistan then?

Look at the 1946 provincial election results.
The elections then were conducted under Government of India Act,1935. It provided for separate electorates for Hindus and Muslims.

In this election the Muslim League’s main platform was the formation of Pakistan. The table shows how overwhelmingly the Muslims voted for Pakistan
The truth is they mostly wanted Pakistan and wanted their own places to be in Pakistan. When they saw there was no chance of that (eg in Bombay Presidency) they all turned ‘secular’.

Because,after all,no one wants to give up his place of residence and migrate to an unknown land.

What's underdiscussed at the moment is the loss of the "incumbent effect" for so many Tory MPs. Now, every election cycle we see MPs standing down. But this one is exceptional because a lot of well-known names are standing down on the Remain wing of the party.
Presumably, they are going to be replaced by candidates who will take a pledge to follow Boris Johnson over the no deal cliff if that's what it takes. So if we're talking about a Remain constituency, that could have a real impact.
After all, in such constituencies, there will be not one but four changes since 2017:
1. Brexit is clearer and harder than in 2017. Tories have swung towards the harder end of the Brexit spectrum and are actively flirting with no deal.
2. A long-standing MP is quitting.

More evidence is surfacing that the 'secret society' inside the DOJ that wanted to obstruct/impeach the incoming Trump administration focused their efforts on turning Flynn's phone calls with Russian ambassador Kislyak into a major crime to be investigated by THEM.
As I explain in the unrolled tweet thread linked above, to do this, the plotters used allies in the media to launch a false narrative that an intel report had caught Flynn doing something shady & corrupt.
