On February 4th, we were tweeting jokes about the Shadow App debacle in the Iowa Caucus. None of us knew what was coming. But they did.
February 10th, we were all talking about the leaked audio of Bloomberg talking about stop and frisk.
February 11th, Trump tweeted about Bloomberg being “a short ball (very) hitter” and we laughed.
Remember when a bunch of people flipped out when @DavidKlion did a tweet about keeping a list of Bloomberg supporters? That was Valentine’s Day. We had no idea what was about to happen. But again, the people in that closed-door meeting did.
February 19th was the night Warren eviscerated Bloomberg in the debate. I do not recall coronavirus even being mentioned in that debate.
February 24th, Trump told the nation: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA…Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”
On February 26th, Trump said: “We’re going very substantially down, not up.” He said: “The 15 [cases] within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”

Looking back, February 29th is the first time coronavirus appears on my own account’s timeline, and from the chyron in this retweet it’s obvious we’re not taking it seriously yet.
On March 4th, Trump said: “If we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work — some of them go to work, but they get better.”

Scrolling through my timeline, I think it wasn’t until this retweet on March 11 that I really understood something was catastrophically wrong.
And now we find out senators were dumping stock in January. What are we going to do about it? Not just to the senators who sold stock, but to everyone who actively misled us?
I miss my mom and dad so much right now.
