Got this message in my twitter DM. So here is my thread on why we need vaccine urgently and how long haul social distancing (aka in Hindi: जनता कर्फ़्यू ) is very IMP.

By now we know:
1. Until fatal, COVID can be cured and most of young get cured.
(Catch is that cure needs ventilator led medical help in late stage)
2. In last stage when Corona virus has reached lungs, it becomes fatal and cure is even tougher for lower immune system people.

Net net we are left with 3 choices as way out of CoronaVirus

1. Have enough hospital beds & ventilators (very tough to do at rate cases are growing).

2. Build a vaccine (It is impossible to approve a vaccine that will be used by billions across the world without enough tests.

3. We save ourselves from those who are carrying virus and may infect us.

Remember the symptoms of carrier (infected) aren’t easy to detect early so they roam freely.
Add to that common human stupidity of taking things casually by both — virus carriers & potential receiver.

It is, as if :

aliens are roaming around us to infect us and kill (venerable/ low immunity people)
They don’t have a gun to kill. They will just sneeze on us or things that we touch.
And either directly via nose or when own hand touches our nose — we get infected !

Now there are two ways to protect us from corona infection ( fun way to say: attack by aliens)
1. We have vaccinated immunity from this virus.
2. We defend ourselves by hiding from these virus carriers aka infected people.

As there is no sight of virus vaccine in next 6 months OR in SOS not enough hospital beds with ventilators.
The only way to cure 🦠 is to not let infected touch more people and infect more people.
Once they are cured 🙂 (or dead 🙁) virus won’t spread no more new cases.

Only way is to stay away from potential carriers.
• when we do, it is called social distancing aka janta curfew
• when government does it. It is called, locked down.

There is NO other cure but to let this not spread till last case is solved.
=> No more virus carriers.

I remind you again : if we don’t take care and stay safe from those unknown “harmless looking” infected people, we won’t be safe.

We are being attacked by aliens in bodies of people near us. These “aliens” are attacking us with corona virus, infecting u when u don’t even know.

As there is non stop growth in patients, it no more a question weather there is cure of COVID flu or not.
We can’t rely on cure.
We need vaccine or social distancing to protect hospitals from more cases.
Till we get vaccine, stay wok.
