We are asking businesses -- beginning immediately to take the temperature of every single employee every day before they come to work. We're asking them to be aggressive in regard to cleaning surfaces and having soap/hand sanitizer available. Send employees home who are sick.
The temperature check is not perfect but is one way to screen out employees who may be sick.
We're taking this one step at a time. If we find that we can't get employers to take temperatures, we'll have to go to the next stage and close everything down unless it's essential. #FlattenTheCurve #COVID19OhioReady #COVID19

#COVID19 Testing: Testing is limited. It will, in all likelihood, remain limited. But please, do not fixate on testing. The vast majority of Ohioans who have symptoms do not need to be tested for the virus. If you are feeling symptoms, you should act like you have it.
If you are feeling symptoms of #COVID19 , the most responsible, heroic, patriotic thing you can do is stay home. Your family should stay home. If your symptoms worsen - especially if you have difficultly breathing - you should go to the ER.
We must reserve the testing for those who are the sickest and the most at risk. #COVID19

To assist #Ohio workers directly impacted by the #COVID19 health emergency, I will issue an executive order that makes several changes to Ohio’s unemployment law and state agency policy. #COVID19OhioReady
We are broadening current state policy to clarify that individuals that are quarantined by a health professional or by their employer are considered to be unemployed and will not be subject to requirements to actively seek work during the period of emergency. #COVID19OhioReady
This also applies to companies that determine it is necessary to temporarily shut down operations due to the current emergency. #COVID19 #COVID19OhioReady

The right spectrum UV light is a powerful germicide (UVC). While an NYT piece describes a single US hospital experimenting with it, Chinese sellers on Amazon are way ahead on marketing UV light for mask re-use nytimes.com/2020/03/20/hea…
However, UV sterilizing isn't just plug and play for a bunch of reasons. (1) you need the light to hit all of the surfaces that need disinfection for the correct amount of time. This can actually be quite hard unless you have a perfectly reflective environment... (1/n)
Next (2) you need to be using the right frequency of UV light. If you don't its wasteful, not as effective, and produces 03. Ozone is an indoor air pollutant and inflames respiratory passages, potentially making folks who breath it more susceptible to...viruses..

Finally authorities are putting Mazandaran province on quarantine: only fuel and food trucks are allowed. This late, its effectiveness will be limited.

The same authorities have had argued for quarantine to be "non-scientific" and "from middle ages".

You know how people say “my dad was in the war but he never talked about it?” These memories are like those. They have been sort of locked away for 10 years.
We didn’t have the forewarning like we do now. We just heard there was an early flu season and the flu was worse. I feel like the beginning of the month was normal. Chest pain. Pneumonia. Pyelonephritis. Asthma exacerbation.

#COVID-19: It’s possible to get infected a 2nd time. People recovered by their own immune system, but the meds they use are damaging their heart, and when they get it the 2nd time, the antibody makes it worse, and they die of sudden heart failure.

I don't find this unexpected. We had similar results in the study of SARS. Challenge with the virus after vaccination actually made the resulting disease worse. One theory is this may be due to an overactive immune response due to a cytokine storm.
What I find really troubling is doctors in China had to report this anonymously to avoid communist censorship. We are not getting the whole story here. Keep in mind we don't yet know how many cases this involves and we'll have to wait for more case studies in other countries.
