Sainsburys just sent me an email where they said that NHS workers would have dedicated time for shopping... just before the dedicated time for elderly and at-risk people (07:30-8:00, and 8:00-9:00 respectively).

While intent is fantastic, that sounds very dangerous. @sainsburys
We have to face the very sad truth that NHS staff will be more at risk of having contracted the coronavirusthan the population at large, especially as the pandemic progresses. So their slot needs to be as far away from the at-risk group's slot as humanly possible!
Solution might be for supermarkets to have a back door into the Click-and-Collect system that people with verified NHS IDs can access. That would let them "jump the queue" so that packers race to fulfill their orders. NHS workers stay in their cars in the carpark, wait for stuff.
