Only *99* days left until the deadline to extend the Brexit transition period!

While attention is rightly focused on the coronavirus crisis, we shouldn't let Brexit slip past, forcing a cliff-edge scenario on businesses at the end of 2020, just when they're trying to recover...
We've already left the EU. But that doesn't mean rushing straight over the cliff-edge of no deal Brexit.

We can get a 2-year extension to the transition period (maximum allowed) just by asking for it.

Why not do so, and concentrate on beating the virus for the next 12 months?
The whole world is going into economic meltdown. Why set ourselves up for a scenario in which we are the least desirable country in Europe to do business in if there's the option of postponing things a bit instead? Otherwise companies will flee the UK first when they cut back.
