Commonwealth Act 671 was the last law enacted by the Second National Assembly of the Commonwealth on December 16, 1941. It was preceded by CA 670 which appropriated all unexpended funds for national defense and civil defense. officialgazette.gov.ph/1941/12/16/com…

Perhaps considering the places allowed to stay open, .@mmda .@TeamAFP .@pnppio .@DILGPhilippines .@DtiPhilippines .@DOTrPH can sit down, and identify main strategic commuter routes and designated *one* operator (rotating even) to boost transport, as #LuzonLockdown is near 1 week.
We are all relying on companies and people running on fumes and who will get weak from exhaustion. Just as strategic loosening needed to keep supplies going, you need strategic mobilization to keep people going to limited firms needed to operate: groceries, drug + hardware, banks
The initial big buys of those who could afford it and limited buys of everyone else are going to start running out; and let’s remember not everyone is or can stay in an extended family environment. #DistanciaAmigo always but humane logistics too, please.

As one sober source put it, "If things don't turn around many companies and people are going to be on the streets," meaning broke. Why this grim possibility, I asked. The source pointed out some things most non-business owners don't realize:
1. Most companies only have enough cash for 45 days of operations ("if that," cautioned the source). 2. Companies can (and will) lay off workers to buy themselves some time; 3. But if companies with creditors don't get a break, then companies will go into early liquidation...

Specific claim from Labour: "the government's planned spending on flood defences until 2021 heavily favours London and the south-east of England". And on the basis of the overall regional per head spending numbers, they're right. End of? Not quite...
Problem with this chart is it includes an exceptional slug of spending on Thames Estuary, budgeted from now til end of century. Pushes up London/SE dramatically. Bars for other regions only cover until 2021. So what let's see what happens if we only look at spending til 2021...

Today is Jayanti of 2 great persons, both associated with the Emergency in their own ways, one led the movement against Indira, another was the brains behind it.- JP and Nanaji Deshmukh both born on same date.
Two men, from two vastly different backgrounds- Jayaprakash Narayan and Nanaji Deshmukh. Both born on the same date, Oct 11, separated by a gap of 14 years. Destiny would bring them together during #Emergency.
JP was from Bihar’s Saran district, his father was a lower Government official, and he later went on to study in the US too. Nanaji on the other hand, was from Maharashtra’s Hingoli district, from a more humble background, rose up the ranks of RSS.

The last lawfully ratified state constitution of Pennsylvania is 1838. All the state constitutions after 1860 are NOT lawfully ratified because #Congress collapse on November 1860 when the southern nations seceded. I will remind everyone we are still under martial law since 1861.
Martial law was never lifted, there were never any peace treaties with the Independent Southern Nations after the international war of 1861. This prevented to restore congress of the southern nations & northern nations. Below I will tweet the preamble and Article I.
