First, they had one case of a guy who came from abroad who was admitted there for respiratory issues for five days, with two days in ICU, before they discovered it was Covid. He was then shifted to Kasturba where he died a few days later.

His son and wife also tested positive and they were in an out of the hospital all the time for five days when the father was there. After the Covid results came the hospital had to send 80 of their staff who treated him home for self-quarantine for two weeks...

... and another 150 were put on surveillance because they could have been in touch with family. But four weeks later no one tested positive for Covid. Which is strange considering what is happening in Europe & America.

Secondly, being a respiratory specialist he was expecting to see a rush of people with respiratory problems (those with Covid, but who had still not tested), but strangely he says that he has seen an actual drop in patient numbers.

As against five or six patients that he used to admit every week, now it is down to just one or two. Same with his colleagues in his department. This he finds strange since Covid attacks the lungs first.
