BREAKING: There is an answer to New York’s and possibly the country’s ventilator problem and I just heard it.

If we act we can save so many lives. 1/

It came out today that we have a reserve of over 8000 ventilators. The most urgent need is NY and New Orleans and Detroit.

NY has profited a lot but DESPERATELY needs these. 2/

There are thousands of ventilators at VA hospitals, in Afghanistan, and with the DOD on top of this. They are needed between now and early May. 3/

They can all be@iced with respitort therapists, PPE, and supporting equipment.

Smarter people than me have figured out how to do all of this. 4/

5/ Why hasn’t it been done? The Administration doesn’t want rural and other communities that need them to suffer.

Someone in the govt has figured out the peaks and the timing needs to tide us over to early May. What happens in early May? 5:

Let me repeat 4 for those unable to decipher my code. Vents with respitory therapists and PPE and supporting equipment can get where they need to be. Make more sense? 6/

In early May, we will be a ventilator production machine. I’ve seen some of the plans, timing, cost and logistics. All the needs of the later peaking states (from a case load standpoint) should be able to be fulfilled.7/

We are a few days away from an announcement about how. And I don’t want to front run that. Mostly so the people who announce it can get full credit for it. (The credit will help ensure it happens.) 8/

I haven’t done all the math but I’m told that ALONG WITH STRICT #StayHome measures, we can get there. 9/

If we do this, maybe no one dies in a hallway because they don’t have a ventilator. If we’re not on course to do this because someone let’s their own interest get in the way, I may take to Twitter & ask for a hand if you want to help... 10/
