I’ve made an error and I am going to correct that mistake.
Two weeks ago I read that Trump was creating more storage for excess crude oil, to include Canadian oil sands.
The US COVid-19 aid package eliminated that strategy.
That is a mistake I made by not following up on the information.
For this I humbly apologize.
But the cheap oil does continue to be produced and sold and shipped to US. Alberta’s one customer.

Alberta has not stopped production. Nor has it ordered reduced production. Screen shot April 1, 2020. oilprice.com/Energy/Crude-O…

The US has moved to eliminate all environmental regulations to aid oil corporations. Focussing on small to medium producers.

Is Canadian industry lobbying for the same relaxation of regulations?

Reduction of regulations and increased pipeline capacity seem to be a constant demand in the fossil fuel industry. I can’t see any reason that would have changed.
Kenney did just announce $7.5B tax dollars to expand Keystone.
Kenney is still indicating saving oil corporations is paramount to AB COVid-19 health and wage earner response. AB has not reduced production & no plans to do so.
