Then, yesterday, April 1, Trump uses his coronavirus press briefing to deploy the same xenophobic blame game saying " It's a tough thing...they came in illegally. We have a lot of people who are citizens of our country who won't be able to get jobs."
Followed in the evening by Tucker Carlson reinforcing the message to his millions of views and putting the question to the DHS secretary: "In a year where tens of millions of Americans could be looking for work our government is importing more than a 150k workers from abroad."
This morning FAIR continues to amplify and push the xenophobic messaging rapped in the thin veil of the pandemic.
Later, DHS responded to try to make sure they are supporting the Administration's xenobiotic response to the pandemic.
This nonexistent line between the nativist fearmongers in and outside the White House has real conquests not only for immigrants but the native-born as well who depend on immigrants to keep hospitals staffed and grocery stores stocked.
