While these masks are not as effective as P95 masks, they can offer a level of protection. This protection can be increased by the addition of filtering material @Kat_Missouri has done great work researching which materials can be effective

Another inexpensive source of filtration material that has been mentioned are #4 coffee filters. I will continue to add to this list as I find more information.
