Q: Do all encounters with #COVID present the same risks for becoming infected and becoming very sick?

Prolonged one-on-one encounters with infected individuals (ex: a visit with a person with the virus or patient care in a health setting with infected individuals) carry greater risk of infection than short, indirect exposures (ex: passing someone on a run, delivery package).
When more virus enters your body, your body must work harder to control the spread of the virus. Keep up the #handwashing and #SocialDistancing to avoid encounters. Protect those that can't avoid repeat and prolonged encounters with appropriate #PPE.

How bad will this get – it depends. If we act now ( #socialdistancing), limited interaction we can slow the spread. With vaccines being trialed, theres hope we can quell this, but realistically only toward end of the year (trials, testing, distribution, administration) /3

#COVID-19: It’s possible to get infected a 2nd time. People recovered by their own immune system, but the meds they use are damaging their heart, and when they get it the 2nd time, the antibody makes it worse, and they die of sudden heart failure.

I don't find this unexpected. We had similar results in the study of SARS. Challenge with the virus after vaccination actually made the resulting disease worse. One theory is this may be due to an overactive immune response due to a cytokine storm.
What I find really troubling is doctors in China had to report this anonymously to avoid communist censorship. We are not getting the whole story here. Keep in mind we don't yet know how many cases this involves and we'll have to wait for more case studies in other countries.

1- The current impeachment circus is not anything like Nixon / WaterGate. It’s not even like Clinton.

But it is very similar to the impeachment of Andrew Johnson.
2- Andrew Johnson was Abraham Lincoln’s Vice President. Lincoln’s choice of Johnson as running mate in 1864 was primarily political. The symbolism of a “Union Democrat” would help heal the nation.
3- When Lincoln was assassinated, Johnson became the 17th President of the United States.

So, what is the #targettrial framework?

Well it’s not a new method! Instead think of it as pedagogical device that provides a structured way to build your research question and study design for observational studies and minimizes the potential for bias.
What does that mean?

To design an observational study, we first think about what the ideal hypothetical randomized trial (target trial) is that would let us answer our research question.

Then, we try to match our observational study as closely as possible to that trial design.
