Your Black leaders and employees are not OK.
It's triggering to ask ”How are you”
Head of Diversity and Inclusion have reached out and connected with your Black ERG leaders and your Black employees.
At the very least ensure all mandatory meetings have a ”No Video Requirement” please
Many I've spoken to are feeling rage, fear, anger, resignation, exhaustion, defeat and more.
Be uncomfortable, put #Blacklives BEFORE your feelings @RachelCargle
It's the HUMAN thing to do.
By being uncomfortable, by facing your own #Whitefragility - by being brave enough to change the guards who gave upheld the status quo for so long.
If #BlackLivesMatter prove it through action.
Their actions will show us where they stand In terms of their comfort level with racism.
And for many - their comfort level is high.
History shows us this. Hoping many will do the right thing.
I didn't lead one through #COVID19 and the racial trauma they're going through right now. So I KNOW the #Emotionaltax is higher.
