His carrer begun as a country doctor who resarched in its own crafted labrotory and found there for the first time with knowledge of that time the anthrax and tuberculosis bacterias. And he got a master in hygenic and even advised the German empire.
He made still several mistakes in his life kind a. He was the first person resarched disseases with animals esspecialy rats and begun with dead animals. And his carrer took a hit as he advised a medicament against tuberculosis bad it had very bad effects like getting blind.
He didnt tested enough but due to its fame many people took the medicin. Tuberculosis was the worst dissease at that time btw. After that his most controversial actions took place seen with todays value and the #BlackLivesMatter movments. As this incident happened,
he travelled threw the world and fought with risking his life tropical disseases esspecialy because the German empire was a colonial power and he was very active in "German east africa". (Tansania without Sansiba, Burundi, Rwanda and a small area of Mosambik).
His work was there very deep with the "sleep disseas" caused by a parasite who got inject via mosquitos he found. Sadly to battle disseas he made to this time tests with black people and infected them with disseases to document effects of all kind medicaments and evolving.
But not only with the sleeping illness and not only in the German colonies... But also not Rober Koch alone did this, many doctor did, Koch still gave the world a gigantic knowlwdge with pandemics and tropical disseases. And who knows where the world would be if these doctors...
sacreficed african and other people witch were seen to that time as lower class people... And yes it is sure one of the cruelst part of history to infected inocents with any disseases to save further lifes and also controversial the use of animals... But this mans saved
still millions and likely killed thousends...
