#Theerthamalai is Mahadev Shiva #Temple along with His consort Devi Vadivaambigai, located at #dharmapuri Dist, #TamilNadu . The name Theertha means holy water malai means hill in Tamil. (Hill with Holy Water). Theerthamalai is a village situated @sattology @Itishree001
about 16 km northeast of #Harur. This temple also called as Theerthagireeswar (Theertha+Giri+Eswar)
Temple is located at the top of a hillock about 1 km up the steep slope of the hillock, derives its name from five springs in the temple. Mahadev Shiva is main deity. @karthiklv
#Temple was built in the 7th century, having many contributions being made by the Chola & Pandya Kings. Several inscriptions can be found in Temple. There is a deep connection of this temple with #Ramayana. When Sri Ram killed Ravana – @hathyogi31 @eshers @rightwingchora
to nullify his Brahma Hatya Pataka Dosha on him he did Abhisheka to Mahadev Shiva. Unfortunately Sri Hanuman could not reach the temple on time with #Ganga water, Thus, Sri Rama shot an arrow on a hill stone creating the Rama Theertha & completed the Pooja. @almightykarthik
Rama Theertha is a tiny water fall spring about 9m high. The force will be same thru out the year even in hot summer, & no one could identify the source of the tiny water fall coming from hill stone.
Once Hanuman came to know the Pooja was completed, @LostTemple7 @Elf_of_Shiva_
he threw the vessel containing #Ganga water which fell away of 11 kms approx. from the Temple towards North direction of the Hill, which fell on to the banks of South Pennar river & formed a spring from it which is now called as Hanumantha Theertham. @Mahesh10816 @RajeAiyer
During summer even the river is dry there will be sweet water in the spring. Here the tradition is, as per Sri Rama’s boon to Sri Hanuman, people take first dip in Hanumantha Theertham & have Darshan of Sri Hanuman & then at Rama Theertha at hill top temple to relief from doshas
The other Theertham, all of which have their origin in different parts of the rocky surface, are the Agasthya, Agni, Kumara & Gouri Theertham.
There is another spring known as Vashista Theertham higher up in the hill. Close by are the wonderful granite pieces of Saptha Kanayakas
The beauty of these sculptures is that they can be viewed only through a narrow crevice in the rock. Siddi Vinayaka adores the Temple. Vayu & Varuna Theertham are on the western side of the hill.
Indira Theertham is on the eastern side of the hill. Hanuman & Yama Theerthams are
on the North & South respectively. Vashista Theertha is at the top of the hill. This is a divine hill surrounded by Holy Theerthas.
According to #Sattology, Kumara Theertham was created for Abhishekam to #Murugan when He was crowned as the Supreme Commander (Senapathi of Devas)
of the forces of the Devas. At least spilling the drops blesses the devotee with #knowledge & #Wisdom.
Gowri Theertham was created for Parvathy Matha. She worshiped Mahadev with this Theertha & got His hand in wedding & became Ardha Naareshwara. Devotees worship Shiva & Mother
with this Theertha for happy #wedding boons.
Agasthya Theertha is blessing of Mahadev to cure the ulcer troubles. It is said that Theertha contains copper & #herbal properties. Devotees consume this Theertha & also use for cooking for relief from gastric problems & @desi_thug1
also cures stomach pain.
Agni Theertham relieved Agni himself of the sins he earned due to passionate love of women. This balances the heat in the body & is a wonderful #medicine for cold attacks, tuberculosis.
The #architecture of the temple dates 1000 years ago. @InfoVedic
Renovations were done in the year 1014 during the reign of Raja Raja Kulothunga Chola. Rishi Arunagirinathar had sung the glory of the temple in his Thirupugazh hymns. Hence, Waters from the Theerthamalai proved to have a lot of #medicinal values too.

After Modi's #Trichy youth conference, the next morning when police were clearing up their mini-control room, they found 5 strange boys who were roaming there with bags. When police enquired - "sir, we are frm Subramaniapuram in Trichy. Whatever political meeting or conference
is held in this ground, we come here on the same night or morning hours to collect the #Liquor bottles to sell in the scrap shop for 50 paisa to Re.1 per bottle & we used to earn Rs 200 to Rs 400 on each such event. Even in the last #DMK meeting the next day we collected around
1500 bottles. But for Modi's #BJP meeting, we could not find even a single bottle in the whole ground. We are coming round & around & not a single bottle in any corner of the ground in Trichy, we are much disappointed, sir!". #Police seem were stunned & pleasantly surprised

Which is the World’s oldest Tape Recorder? by Sri Kanchi Paramacharya Mahaswami
Once way back in 1940s/50s someone was conducting an interview with Kanchi Mahaperiyava. That gentleman recorded the interview in a Tape recorder.
@justRamvenkat @KanchiMatham
Periyava then posed a question:
“Does anyone know which is the oldest known #tape #recorder?”
Nobody was able to answer. Then Mahaperiyava asked another question:
“How did #Vishnu #Sahasranamam come to us?”
Everyone said Bhishma Pitamah gave it.
All agreed. @Itishree001
Then #Mahaperiyava posed another query:
“When all were listening to Vishnu Sahasranamam, who took Notes at #Kurukshetra thousands of years back?”
Again silence.
Mahaperiyava started replying to everyone.
“When Bhishma Pitamah was glorifying Lord Krishna with Sahasranama i.e,
