#Keesaragutta is a #Temple dedicated to Mahadev Shiva & his consorts Bhavani & Sivadurga at Keesaragutta in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, about 30 km from #Hyderabad . It is located on a small hillock. @sattology @Itishree001 @LostTemple7 @desi_thug1 @DivineElement
#Sattology says that Sri Rama installed Shiva Lingam here to nullify Brahmahatya Paapa of killing Ravana. He selected this beautiful valley surrounded by hills & verdant greenery for the purpose & ordered Hanuman to bring a Sivalingam from #Varanasi.

Hanuman was late in arriving with Shiva lingam & as the Muhurtham was nearing, Mahadev himself appeared before Sri Rama & presented a Shiva lingam for installation. Hence the lingam in the #Temple is called Swayambhu Lingam. @almightykarthik @harshasherni @pujari_anup
It is also called Ramalingeswara as Sri Rama had installed the lingam. Hanuman returned with 101 lingams for selection frm Varanasi & felt aggrieved at not having his lingam installed. Hence he threw them all over the area. Even to this day several lingams are found scattered all
over the place outside the temple. To mollify Hanuman, Sri Rama ordained that precedence would be given to him for worship at the temple. He also said that the hillock where the lingam was installed would bear his name kesarigiri that is, Hanuman, the son of Kesari. @hathyogi31
Over a period of time, it has colloquially transformed & is now known as Keesara & the hill as Keesaragutta. Ever since, the rituals follow the command of Sri Rama. @Elf_of_Shiva_

When supplicated to Periyava with much hesitation, he said, "Bring her".

Periyava's sight, fell on the car. The sadas(assembly), of vedic pandits was going on inside the #temple. Hearing the noise of the car, they muttered their disapproval & looked at us with disdain.

The camp, was in Anakunti, on the banks of the #Tungabhadra river. One can see the ruined cut images, of the Krishnadevaraya empire, here. Around 2 o' clock in the afternoon, he gave his shiShyas sudden & urgent ImageImageImage
orders to immediately vacate the mandapam, where the cooking & dining was done, & move to the place adjacent to the Annapoorani #Temple. "There would be a cat & its kitten staying in the samaiyalKaTTu (kitchen). Drive them away too."

The mandapam vacated by the shiShyas, after the next half-an-hour, for whatever reason, started falling down slowly! Periva saved everyone, including the cat & its kittens!

Sri Mahalingeshwara #Temple situated at a small village called #Vayalathur, a small agricultural village which is 15 km south of #Kanchipuram (Kanchi- the spiritual capital of South India), #Tiruvannamalai Dist., TamilNadu
Sri Mahalingeshwarar is present along with His consort Sri Brigu Sundaragujambal. It is a 9th Century #Temple built during the Pallava Reign. Over the years, due to natural & human negligence the Temple got depleted & left in shambles. @almightykarthik @Itishree001 @pujari_anup
It was in 2015, a committee was formed with the help of local villagers and renovation work started to reconstruct the Temple structure. On 10.06.2016 the Maha Kumbabhishekham was performed in a grand manner and on 31.07.2016 Mandal Abhishekham was performed.

#Theerthamalai is Mahadev Shiva #Temple along with His consort Devi Vadivaambigai, located at #dharmapuri Dist, #TamilNadu . The name Theertha means holy water malai means hill in Tamil. (Hill with Holy Water). Theerthamalai is a village situated @sattology @Itishree001
about 16 km northeast of #Harur. This temple also called as Theerthagireeswar (Theertha+Giri+Eswar)
Temple is located at the top of a hillock about 1 km up the steep slope of the hillock, derives its name from five springs in the temple. Mahadev Shiva is main deity. @karthiklv
