20 states in India have reserved 50% of seats for women in Panchayati Raj Institutions. As a result, there is a higher representation of women in these rural bodies with women making up for 44% of the total elected representatives

The supply of vaccines to states is not based on the size of their 45+ population, based on data from Census 2011. For instance, Maharashtra with 25 mn such people received 10.6 mn doses, Gujarat with 12.8 got 10.5 mn & Rajasthan with 12.6 mn got 10.7 mn
