But something else unplanned, costly in time and rubles, sending damaged equipment home for repair

Y'day some 200 evacuees fled from #Mariupol, but further attempts to remove civilians were thwarted

But today NO 'Green Corridors' anywhere in #Ukraine "due to dangers on routes" said Deputy PM Iryna Vereshchuk. "To all those waiting to be evacuated: be patient, please hold on!"

#Japan has declared the South Kuril Islands "illegally occupied" for Russia for the first since in almost two decades.

Tokyo also states that #Russia's war on #Ukraine "undermines the foundations of the international order."

Swimming's Gov body FINA confirms the suspension of #Russia's 2-time Olympic champion Yevgeniy Rylov for his "attendance & conduct at" Putin's war rally at Luzhniki Stadium.

However, just a 9 month ban and all Russians are banned for 2022 anyway.

A Ukrainian plane has crashed this morning in #Zaporizhzhia. The An-26 was "performing a technical flight" when it went down in the Volyansky district in the north of the ZP region.

No suggested it was shot down but also no reason given. There are victims according to officials.

Many wonder how #Ukraine's troops have held out in #Mariupol' despite being cut off.

Now a Minister has confirmed it has been able to drop supplies into the Azovstal plant, by helicopter at night.

The number of civilian bodies counted in #Kyiv region as a result of #PutinsWar is now 1,084

Head of Police Andriy Nebitov says almost three-quarters of these were shot by #Russia's army.

There's likely to be a ban on Russian oil imports, as well as cutting off all Russian banks from SWIFT. The confirmation now expected Tuesday.
