1/Hey @Justin_Ling, regarding your hit job on @EvaKBartlett on @CBC, you failed to mention that your special guest @timsquirrell works for @ISDglobal, which is funded by #US govt, Republican & CIA-affiliated donors & is partnered w pro-@NATO think tanks.🧵

2/Despite its claims, @ISDglobal is not independent but closely aligned with funders and partners linked to the US @StateDept, @NATO countries and pro-#Ukraine & anti-#Russia organizations like the @OpenSociety. It gets worse. bit.ly/3usGvFe

3/It also gets lots of $ from the International Republican Institute (IRI) that established & continues to fund the CIA-affiliated @NEDemocracy. On the board of the @IRIglobal is Sen. Lindsey Graham that champion for “democracy” in #Ukraine. iri.org/who-we-are/

4/And the @ISDglobal partners with the “pro-democracy” McCain Institute established by former US Senator John McCain who was at the #Maidan protests in #Ukraine in 2013 & then went back later with Sen. Graham to cause more trouble... @McCainInstitute

5/Like in 2016 when Senators McCain & Graham were in #Ukraine telling soldiers “Your fight is our fight, 2017 will be the year of the offense, we will go back to #Washington & push the case against #Russia”. ICYMI watch: and don't forget #Canada's role.

7/Back to the @ISDglobal, it’s also funded by the @NDI w former #US Ambassador to #Russia Michael McFaul on its board. @McFaul promotes “democracy" by calling for more weapons to #Ukraine though it causes more Ukrainians to die & prolongs the #US @NATO proxy war.

8/So @Justin_Ling, I’ve got an idea: how about you do independent journalism like @EvaKBartlett? Go to #Donbass & talk to ethnic Russian Ukrainians who have been under brutal shelling & shooting by @NATO-backed #Ukrainian forces for years & hear their side that's ignored by @CBC?

10/Instead through #OperationUNIFIER in #Ukraine, Canada's @NationalDefence trained & armed #Ukrainian security forces including extreme right-wing militias Azov, Centuria, etc. & now there's @CanadianForces on the ground. #Canada is at war, but @CBC is not honestly reporting it.
