Not directly related to the war (unless sabotage) but a breaking story in #Russia

Three ships have been ripped from anchor in a storm at Baidukov Island in the #Amur Estuary - that's the very far east of Russia near #Sakhalin

54 were on board and a rescue operation is underway.

The start of the night was noisy and scary in many areas of #Ukraine.

Governor of #Kharkiv confirms the Novobavarsky district was the latest to be hit in the third round of missile attacks in the city so far.

It's being reported that the goons who invaded #Ukraine from #Belarus, taking over #Chernobyl, may already have died of radiation.

A withering attack on #Russia today in the #UK's daily Intel report.

9 people have been injured in the latest shelling of #Mykolaiv oblast.

In total there were 3 attacks. Firstly shelling of the Bashtansky & Bereznegovat communities damaged buildings.

Then the casualties, inc 2 children, happened in Novyi Buh when rockets hit private houses.

In #Poltava region Russia has bombed military targets.

It happened in #Myrhorod, with regional head Dmytro Lunin confirming 4 X-22 (air to surface) missiles had hit infrastructure, but no civilian casualties are reported.

One of last night's mysteries is solved.
In #Kharkiv some even thought a plane had been shot down, but what happened is an Iskander cruise missile malfunctioned, exploding before impact.

Fragments of the rocket were found in the roof of a house in the centre

Major incident in occupied #Donetsk...

The "Galaktika" shopping centre has been ablaze for a couple of hours and fire is still raging. It's thought a missile strike was to blame, but not confirmed.

#Ukraine has no history of, or need to, attacking shopping centres.

The @washingtonpost reports that The Kremlin called Zelenskyy on the first day of the war to offer #Ukraine the chance to surrender.

Two days later #Belarus' Defence Minister called his counterpart in #Ukraine to again try to negotiate a surrender.

A road in #NewYork has been renamed "Ukrainian Way" to show solidarity with the nation.

A big fire in #Siedove in #Donetsk oblast.
This is a coastal village just 5km from the Russian border.

I doubt #Ukraine's army can reach this far from the frontline, so the cause of the blaze remains unknown for now.

Sadly they've chosen the farcical name of "Commonwealth Football League"

The Vatican has announced The Pope will NOT meet the head of the Russian Orthodox Church when they both attend a gathering of religious leaders in Kazakhstan next month.

The Kremlin says preparations were "unilaterally suspended" by The Vatican.
