Hello again, nice to see you here for Tuesday's daily thread on #Russia's illegal war against its peaceful neighbour.

Day 216 of #Ukraine's Resistance. Also the last day of "voting" in the sham (illegal) referenda in Occupied parts of Ukraine

All the news, events and analysis⬇️
If you missed anything yesterday, here's the start of Monday's thread. Scroll at your leisure!

The British Intelligence daily update is out and it covers Putin's immediate plans over the fixed "votes" in 4 of #Ukraine's partially occupied regions.

#StopRussia #StandWithUkraine
The destruction of the airport at #KryvyiRih was the main overnight event (see end of yday's thread)

But 3 communities - Nikopol, Marhanets and Chervonohrihoriv were hit by almost 100 rockets.
No casualties have been recorded so far but officials are still inspecting damage.
Still insanely high losses for #Russia

All the first 5 categories here above the daily average.

#StopRussia #SlavaUkraini
#Russia has turned off gas supplies to Europe again.

The Kremlin claims the Nord Stream 1 pipeline can't be repaired because of sanctions.

What a coincidence, just as #Italy's political parties negotiate to form the new government. Putin desperate for pro Russian voices!
Following on from the previous tweet, mysterious things happening under the sea, discovered by Nordic countries.

#Russia just spent 5 million rubles on iodine tablets (used to help prevent radiation sickness)

Media say the transaction is made within 4 days showing urgency, but there are annual purchases of iodine, so may be a coincidence.

#StopRussia #SaveUkraine
#Russia has attacked the hotel and restaurant in #Zaporizhzhia's central park.

This is the second hit on this complex.

Something burns in occupied #Horlivka, north of #Donetsk.

#Gorlovka #Donbas #Ukraine #StopRussia
A councillor in #Tatarstan claims he was attacked while trying to highlight corruption in #Zelenodolsk.

Yevgeny Yefremov was staging a one-man picket with a poster when a masked man jumped on him snatched the poster and left him with a cut on his hand.

In #Russia's southern republics the police are taking extra precautions after yesterday's problems with the anti-mobilisation protests.

In #Nalchik the whole centre is cordoned off, while in #Makhachkala this lot are heading to the centre to prevent gatherings.

#StopRussia
We all know #Russia's army likes to loot, but perhaps the craziest theft has just been revealed following their retreat

In #Kharkiv region employees at 'Novaposhta' returned to work to discover the Occupiers stole the toilet!

Police investigate, but they have nothing to go on😂
🤣🤣🤣
#Russia knows no-one will believe anything to do with the referenda in #Ukraine. The Kremlin knows it's a purely propaganda exercise, so they invent figures that simply cannot be possible because they don't care and like to show that.

#SaveUkraine #StopRussia
In #Makhachkala metal detectors and 'filtration' before even being allowed in to the main square.
That's where the large crowd and trouble happened yesterday evening.

#Dagestan #Russia #MobilizationInRussia
Apologies for being offline for so long - I get urgent alerts when I'm in meetings, but thankfully nothing urgent to report.

#Ukraine says it's foiled attacks on #Odesa, #KryvyiRih and #Melitopol.
Kh-59 missiles fired by #Russia's fighter jets over the Black Sea were shot down.
Before the war @JoeBiden promised to end #NordStream if #Russia invaded #Ukraine.

This evening The EU parliament's Chair of the EU-US delegation, cryptically posts this:

An investigation in #Bulgaria reveals the country's previous government secretly plotted with #Putin to engineer a "potential suspension of transmission (of gas) through #Ukraine"

bird.bg/dans-potok-bor…
Parts of #Kharkiv are without power this evening after 4 rockets smashed in to the region.

Infrastructure was hit in the Kholodnohirsky district of the city. No casualties are reported.

#RussiaIsATerroristState #SaveUkraine
More gifts for #Ukraine...
#Germany confirms it will be giving a specially designed "Iris" air defence system to Zelenskyy's government, while the #USA is donating 16 NASAMS rocket launcher according to Ukrainian officials.

#StandWithUkraine #StopRussia
It gets even more ridiculous

"According to the final results of the referendum in #Donetsk, 99.23% voted for union with #Russia, and the turnout was 97.51%"

Just stupid, pathetic, embarrassing. Get the #HIMARS loaded.
Elsewhere 98.42% in #Luhansk voted to join #Russia according to the fairytale.
But having killed or jailed anyone who didn't flee, and holding a referendum at gunpoint, that's almost believable to some. But 87% in #Kherson and 93% in #Zaporizhzhia? Just an insult to intelligence
Eagle eyed viewers have already pointed out many of the voting forms are blank - they couldn't even be bothered to fill in the forms they stuffed into the boxes to make it look real!

Maybe I'm wrong. maybe you're wrong.
Maybe everyone really does want to be in #Russia...

Let's check in on a flight heading to Russia - I'm guessing all tickets were sold out long ago?
Maybe not!
#Poland tells any of its citizens still in #Russia to leave immediately.

Day 1301 of Ukraine fighting for its survival. The right to be free, speak their own language, worship in their own churches, to learn their own history.

A history of long suppression by Russia.
As war crimes grow daily, the words "never again" don't seem to apply.
Here's the🧵
Yesterday began, and ended, with Russia attacking Zaporizhzhia, injuring civilians.

Also, the head of the IAEA disgraced himself in Russia's arms, changes of 🇺🇦army leadership, and how a Russian guy was a Putin opponent, until 3 mins after being elected.

First though a breaking news after a number of morning attacks by Russia, particularly in Kyiv region.

Day 1300 of Putin's war.
Another 100 days of fighting completed.
We are no nearer peace than we were 100 days ago.

Almost 200 days ago Trump demanded a 30-day unconditional ceasefire.
Not surprising as he started it, it's always Putin stopping peace.

Here's Monday's daily🧵
If you were busy over the weekend, click the link to see all Sunday's stories.

It was a day when Ukraine had to quickly repair a main railway line after a massive explosion, but they also managed to make multiple hits on Russia's rail and oil industries

The overnight bombardment from Russia remained lower than usual, although 84 drones and 3 S-300 missiles caused a fair bit of damage on 'soft' targets

With 59 UAVs stopped, that's a 70% success rate.
None of the missiles was intercepted either

The 28 hits occurred in 13 places Image

Day 1299 - the daily thread starts here, covering all things to do with the illegal invasion of Ukraine by its demonic neighbour.

Plenty to catch up on due to the late start today.
So no time to waste, let's go...
Apologies for the much later start than intended, due to a few technical issues, as well as Dad's Taxi being booked for a rescue mission😂

Before we look at today's events, here's the link back to Saturday's thread:

At the end of yday's thread, I wrote about what was a probable Russian strike on Kyiv's railway.

Ukraine's Gen Staff doesn't say it was an attack but admits a "detonation of ammunition on a train carrying military cargo"

Accidents happen, but either way it's a clear blow.

Hello on Day 1298 of Russia's full invasion of its sovereign neighbour. So, only 1295 days late in fulfilling the boast of taking Kyiv in 3 days. #EATP for Putin.

I've compiled a🧵every single day without fail.

Friday saw more important visitors arrive in Kyiv (and another familiar place is in Ukraine today).

There was more solidarity and practical support, while Russia suffered more oil woes.

If you missed anything, click and scroll here:

I'll start in Odesa, because that's where the familiar face has turned up.

He was planning to return to Ukraine a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't make it, but now Boris is back.
Loved by nearly all Ukrainians, his early arrival (with Lord Ashcroft) meant he avoids the crowds. Image

Hello once again on Friday 12 September 2025.

Day 1297 of Russia's imperialist war, but the senior bully keeps being given a bloody nose by the junior school kid next door. How embarrassing for the "world's second greatest army" and more 'punches' thrown by Ukraine overnight..
There was so much in yesterday's thread.

Russia hitting churches, Ukraine striking a boat.
The US helping Belarus, which helps🇷🇺 & Trump questioning if the drone attack on Poland was a mistake.
Thursday ended with a Ukraine drone surge into Russia:
It was busy at Kyiv's main railway station this morning with two VIP arrivals making unannounced visits.

Prince Harry accepted a request to return to Ukraine saying "we have to keep (the war) at the forefront of people's minds."

Poland's FM @sikorskiradek hopped off soon after Image

Day 1296 of Russia's genocidal war in Ukraine, welcome to THE daily thread for Thursday 11 Sept.

My thoughts today are with all Americans on the 24th anniversary of a sickening terrorist attack, born of hatred.

It seems we learned little. A cycle of violence has to end.
Some may accuse me of hypocrisy, and that's fine, it's their right in a free world.

My strongest criticism is reserved for leaders who spread lies, try to brainwash and use people instead of helping them.

I don't hate all Russians, though I detest what the country has become.
If ever the U.S. and the free world needed to be unified, it is now, just like we were 24 year ago.

Russia is an existential threat to Ukraine even existing, but also to the way of life of all of us.

Yesterday was momentous, read the thread:
