#Russia has now lost over 120,000 soldiers from its' regular army. Another huge daily number of sacrificial lambs on the altar of Tsar Putin: 860, one of the highest ever.
Also decent equipment numbers hit by #Ukraine according to their estimates.
Well that was quick. Let it be a warning to others in #Russia
Yesterday news stories like this, that former World champ MMA fighter and kickboxer Vladimir Mineev had joined the war. Today it's rumoured he's already dead, killed near #Bakhmut.
Vielen danke @gtorges, who's tipped me this morning via the Ko-Fi link.
After yesterday's further delay from the German government it's even more pleasant to see the country's citizens not accept Berlin's decision.

#CzechRepublic has denied reports in some media (not here) that they are ready to give Leopard-2 tanks to #Ukraine.
German publication FAZ said #Czechia and #Slovakia could transfer about 30 units when their orders arrive from #Germany. Other media picked up on it.
1/3 Hundredsof people, including the President and First Lady, attending the various services around #Kyiv for those killed in this week's helicopter tragedy
Here in #Brovary the funeral of Milana and her mother Yelena who were killed at the kindergarten when the crash happened
2/3
In the centre of #Kyiv there's a ceremony for the Government employees killed when their helicopter crashed.
Here @ZelenskyyUa and 1st Lady of #Ukraine Olena Zelenska pay their respects to the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky and two other junior officers in the department.
Journalists have discovered the MoD is massively over paying for food provisions for servicemen and women.
What's more, the deal is struck with a company and a CEO with a murky past.
Yesterday Gen Mark Milley said "Russia's losses were significantly above 100,000"
US Intel has now apparently told The Sun it estimates the figure to be 188,000. That includes disabled as well as killed. Likely half dead as #Russia often leaves the dying thesun.co.uk/news/21115234/…
LOL, look at the new exhibit in the Science Museum in #Lviv
The sinking of the #Moskva just months after being told to "Go F**k yourself" by #Ukraine's Defenders of Snake Island.
"A girl fell out of the window onto a passerby. Both died."
More questions than answers. Was she anti-war? Well known? I'm digging for answers.
Earlier today, all three Foreign Ministers of the Baltic countries released this statement.
Another plea for #Germany to act quickly. #Russia will carry on killing until stopped. Whether we stop Putin in #Ukraine, or #Berlin is your choice Herr Scholz.
Border Guards in #Sumy report Russian forces crossed the border. Likely an undercover advanced scouting or sabotage party - testing #Ukraine readiness.
Defenders fired and the invaders fled.
Unconfirmed.
Billionaire owner of #Wagner mercenary group is outraged after one of their dead was refused a hero's funeral.

#Germany's previous Defence Min banned an inventory of Leopard-2s in a bid to "stop pressure on Scholz" and effectively stop the tanks reaching #Ukraine
So called "Invincibility Points" have sprung up in most cities in #Ukraine.
Here's another new one in #Kyiv. They're designed to help people during power cuts, providing free heat, light, charging points and WiFi.

1/3 Let's have a look what's been happening in that bastion of forward thinking and freedom which allegedly doesn't like fascism:
In #Moscow they've been commemorating the 99th anniversary of the death of #Lenin, a man who executed 25,000+ a year.
2/3 In #Barnaul this dangerous terrorist has been arrested.
Of course it's not illegal to protest in "free" #Russia but this small sign saying "no war" is clearly a threat to the nation.
3/3 And what about this in #Russia? A memorial to the #Dnipro massacre - police stand guard 24/7 now to stop flowers being laid.
This woman tried to place a piece of paper there and still got led away!
Following the scandalous reports of #Ukraine's MoD overpaying by almost three times what was needed for army provisions, the government's announced an urgent investigation.
Spiegel says the inventory (which other German media reported had been deliberately stopped) has been done after all. 19 of the tanks have already been tagged as suitable for transfer to Kyiv.
#Wagner this evening claims it has taken control of the northern route out of #Bakhmut (RU: #Artemovsk)
If true, it leaves #Ukraine's forces with only one route in/out of the town, to the west.
Without a highly risky, successful, counter-attack, it seems only a matter of time.
Of course if #Ukraine had already been given aircraft and Leopards, #Bakhmut would not fall.
For all the west's help, it once again comes down to even the most Hawkish leaders being too dove-like and timidity of Putin has repeatedly cost Ukraine the initiative.

It continues to be fairly quiet in #Ukraine with no major missile attack for 9 days and even mortar attacks are less frequent in some of the usual hotspots.
In #Sumy for instance 'just' 15 mortars in Novoslobidsk and Shalyhinsk was shelled with artillery just once.
No injuries.

Today may be a landmark day in the war.
All eyes on #Rammstein where the regular meeting of #Ukraine's allies will take place, and I am confident a number of nations will supply #Leopard-2 tanks to Kyiv even if #Germany continues to object.
