Last night #Italy said it is in favour of a war crimes tribunal for #Putin's #Russia.
FM Antonio Tajani says "killing the defenseless population is a war crime and we will see how to intervene there. We have a problem with the leadership, not with the people." #StopRussia
#Russia's losses continue to be high according to #Ukraine estimates, but slightly lower than recent peaks.
Total killed service personnel will probably reach 140,000 on Thursday.
In a further shift from old communist influences, #Ukraine is realigning its calendar again
Intnl Women's Day on 8 March and Workers' Day holiday on 1 May are likely to be scrapped and replaced by holidays honouring birth of Lesia Ukrainka (25 Feb) + Taras Shevchenko (9 March)
Partisan group #ATESH releases details of another attack on Occupiers.
They claim on Friday in #NovaKakhovka two members of the occupying regime were killed and two injured in a car bombing.
The latest 'Ramstein' talks kicked off with promising statements for #Ukraine
8 countries are supplying Leopard tanks — 🇩🇪🇨🇦🇩🇰🇳🇱🇳🇴🇵🇱🇵🇹🇪🇸
USA, Poland + Czechia supply additional tanks
USA, Germany + Netherlands give Patriot while

A brawl's been reported between #Ukraine and #Russia football clubs at an hotel in Turkiye
Worth noting Ukrainian side Minai made it a condition of booking that no RU side was there. But the hotel says becuase of the earthquake they were forced to change
Following yesterday's premiere of my new documentary, it's now available free on youtube.
#Ukraine: A War On Two Fronts
From the boardroom to the frontline...
A look at the war, and some of the state corruption seemingly flourishing under the radar.
Smoke could be seen across the city of #Kazan much of the day.
A car service centre and a warehouse burned down.
Fire officials say burning tyres were the cause of the smoke. Doesn't look war related.
Photos appeared of the German port city of Bremerhaven, after the US ship Arc Integrity unloaded. A total of 280 military vehicles local journalists report.
This is the same ship which the week before visited Antwerp and likely unloaded there too. #StandWithUkraine#StopRussia
Thanks today to Carolynne, Adam and Renee for spotting good stories.
DMs open for anything you see which you think I might want to include in the daily thread, or for anonymous tip offs which I'll try to verify.
Good work from the excellent @BBCSteveR, highlighting the case of a student in #Russia, one of many who face long prison sentences for social media posts.
It's been a strange day for #Russia watchers in many respects. #Wagner group has spent a lot of time today posting how they won't take #Bakhmut any time soon.
While claiming they're not short of personnel, they even publish this map highlighting supply routes for #Ukraine's army
#Russia randomly claims it shot down another helicopter and a plane today, both near #Sloviansk in #Donetsk region.
It's possible, but Russian claims over aviation have been more exaggerated than any other category (except destroying Bradley machines before they arrived!)
Another blaze to end the day. Always interesting when there's a fire which affects the railways.
This time a train repair business burned down in Kolomna, about 110km south of #Moscow.
First floor ceilings collapsed but the blaze is now reported to be out.

This is the start of Wednesday's daily thread with news and analysis from #Russia's war on #Ukraine.
This is Day 357, which has started relatively quietly.
To recap, or check anything you missed yesterday, click and scroll Tuesday's 🧵:
On Tuesday we learned of the death of an 8th British man in the war in #Ukraine
He's now been named as 45 year old Jonathan Shenkin, born in Glasgow but living in London. Mr Shenkin enlisted for the Ukrainian army & worked as a paramedic.
His family describe him as a hero.
RIP
Britain, Canada Czechia + Sweden all confirm a boycott of next month's women's Boxing's World Championship in India
USA + Ireland already withdrew.
Theyre all angry at Putin's mate, IBA President Umar Kremlev, who's allowing Russians to fight under 🇷🇺flag insidethegames.biz/articles/11336…
Day 355 of the brutal war started by #Russia on its peaceful neighbour. Very nearly 10 years since the first invasion of #Ukraine and the world did nothing, hoping the aggression would stop. The world did the same after Georgia. Nothing stopped. Dictators don't stop voluntarily
I'm tweeting from Manchester airport ahead of the Premiere of my new film "Ukraine: A War On Two Fronts" in Brussels this lunchtime.
I should be able to post a link to the live stream here a little nearer the time.
Before I go any further, immense thanks to Scott Vierling for the very generous donation via Ko-Fi which I saw when the alarm clock went off far too early!
Thanks to everyone for all support, be it cash, encouragement or tip-offs.💙💛
Welcome to the daily thread for Sunday 12 February.
It's Day 354 of the #RussiaUkraineWar and all the news and analysis you need is here in one handy thread.

Today's data show another 900 deaths for #Russia but also noteworthy figures of tanks and artillery systems destroyed - both well above the daily mean.
Day 353 of the war in Europe. #Ukraine fights for a nation, for liberty, in the name of democracy. #Russia fights for a small man in a bunker breaking, committing war crimes.
Here's yet another daily🧵 all the news in one place.
Hello and welcome to the daily thread about #Ukraine and its defence against #Russia's illegal invasion.
This is Day 352 since last February's all out attack, but now very nearly 9 years since the original invasion. The more the west did nothing, the bolder Putin became:

It was particularly telling when a Russian protest group managed to find out #Russia, once cameras has gone, stole back fur coats they'd given to grieving relatives for their losses:
Last night there was a drone wave sent in to Ukraine territory and as I wrote at the time it could well be the precursor to another full missile attack.
That does seem to be happening now with launches detected and mass devastation and death again a possbility for the innocent
Here is my daily thread number 351 on the #Russia-#Ukraine war. One for each day of the war.
News and analysis of all events covering #Putin's illegal war.
Yesterday's thread was limited by Twitter.
I (and most others) were unable to post after 9.30pm UK time. #StandWithUkraine
In case you were wondering about that tweet which couldn't be loaded, I found it quite amusing as Chancellor Scholz went straight past his flag and to the #Ukraine lectern before being corrected by Zelenskyy!
President @ZelenskyyUa is now arriving in #Brussels to meet EU officials as he continues his mission to get fighter aircraft for #Ukraine.
We've had almost a year now and it really angers me that no-one foresaw this. We never truly protected Ukraine as Russia controls the skies.
