1/I’m getting married this weekend & away for Rosh Hashanah & #Lab17. But want to share this thread before I go silent for a few weeks. 
2/There are a fair few events happening at #Lab17 – a disproportionate amount about British Jews, Judaism, Israel and Zionism.
3/At some of these events, people will say that antisemitism in Labour does not exist. These people, from Jewish groups... #lab17
4/…will claim to speak on behalf of the Jewish community, or large portions of it. Lets put this to bed before you get to #lab17
5/. They speak for a number of people, but a very small number. #lab17
6/ Lets take my first example. @FreeSpeechOnIsr – They list no people on an organising committee. We know that… #lab17
7/Naomi Wimbourne-Idrissi is involved, as is Jonathan Rosenhead (remember those names for my next tweets) #lab17

13/ But they list just five officers on their website. #lab17
14/ Jenny Manson – who is a member with me in Barnet. I have met Jenny before. In my few interactions with her we got on well. #lab17
15/ Jenny stood as the parliamentary candidate in Hendon North a few decades ago – where I am now a councillor. #lab17
16/But I think that even Jenny would admit to not necessarily being very involved in the Jewish community. #lab17

22/ The Board of Deputies is the Jewish community’s Parliament. Where synagogues and organisations from across the country elect delegates
24/…Use services provided by JLC members. Its members include all of the major streams of Judaism and members decide policy.
