1. This how the fake media works. An example using a current narrative/example: congressional retirements.
2. The fake media's narrative is that congress critters are rushing to retire because of Trump. The fact is that only 2 senators both GOP and 17 representatives (14 retiring and 3 resigning). As of Nov 9, 2017.
3. Both numbers are below normal. If only 2 senators retire, it will only be the 4th time since 1914 that such a low # has retired. In the house the avg is 22 who retire.
4. The fake media is padding the numbers by including those planning to run for higher office. Another 18 are planning such a move.
5. There is no major Exodus from Congress. In fact the opposite is true. Yet the fake media wants you to believe there is and they want you to believe it's due to their disgust at Trump.
6. This is how narratives are formed. They use a "fact" then spin that "fact" to start completely skewed narrative of the current situation. Then once in the "wild" the new narrative is picked up without research and used over and over until it becomes accepted groupthink.
7. It is never questioned because it seems to be confirmed by a steady drip of people retiring or by constantly "reporting" on those like flake who "will be retiring".
8. The fake media is littered with these false narratives that aren't true, that aren't questioned and are accepted as "truth".
9. It's can be compared to a B-52 carpet bombing a enemy. There is so many of these false narratives it is impossible to avoid believing one or checking all of them and they all are designed to push the overriding narrative. In this case The narrative that "Trump is bad"
10. Many thinks we think are true or "fact based" aren't. They are simply opinions in the best case and/or outright lies in the worse case.
11. It's impossible to patrol it all. It's impossible to control it all. Our founders knew that and it is why they enshrined "free speech" into our nation's fabric.
12. The belief is that using free speech all narratives, lies, facts, truth will be allowed into the public square and the best will win out in the end through debate and discussion.
13. Free speech is the only thing that stands a chance of getting the truth out the most often.
14. The fake media is no longer in the business of reporting the facts or the truth. They are in the business of creating narratives based loosely on "facts" to push their narrative of the day and their greater overarching grand narrative.
15. They may have always been in that business, I guess, and the explosion of free speech through social media is exposing them for the storytellers they really are. Stay sharp, don't believe anything on first blush and research what you can to getas close to the truth as U can.
