This "Mueller's team was anti-Trump" nonsense is an absurd manipulation. Of course they were, nearly seventy percent of the country hates the president. 1/
This is all about the subjective reality problem as there's no way to find anyone who doesn't have a political opinion. You couldn't find a neutral person to save your life. 2/
This is just a rhetorical play, meaning they want to find an investigation who supports Trump, which is the reality they think they're living in. 3/
The truth is, however, that any representative body in this country right now would be overwhelmingly anti-Trump and thus unacceptable. 4/
Try and imagine rounding up a group of people who HAVEN'T sent an anti-Trump text or email. Who are those people? They're the 30% or so who support the president blindly. 5/
But this is also an example of this incredibly ignorant idea that people can't have political opinions and do their jobs, which is a relatively new phenomena. 6/
It's steeped in the idea now that if somebody disagrees with your reality then they are living in some kind of altered state or are unreasonable.7/
Journalists and colleagues need to ask these Republicans calling for a new investigation or the dissolving what it means to these people to be "objective." 8/
We're tapdancing around what it means to live in the 21st Century, which is to exist in our own political bubbles while struggling to maintain a shared society. That's what this argument is about. 9/
But what Republicans are saying is that if somebody is anti-Trump then they are not only wrong, but they're capable of treason and willing to overthrow a president for political gain. 10/
We're talking about this through the lens of the investigation, but that's not what's happening. We're avoiding talking about the major struggle of our age, and that avoidance could lead to a criminal president maintaining power. 11/11
