It took 4 years for Bush's approval to drop as much as Trump did in 1. The comments degrading women, calling white nationalists very fine people, saying Muslims should be banned, backing a pedophile for Senate. No matter how much he does on policy, we'll still find him disgusting 
I just had a thought. Imagine if Trump had taken office and immediately made his first 3 legislative goals: 1) Infrastructure to create jobs & fix failing roads, bridges etc, 2) A tax cut that lowered corp rate but also got rid of all loopholes, like carried interest, and also
incentivized companies to do more to help US workers like a lower rate for companies that re-train workers to be even better skilled. Plus tax cuts ONLY for lower/middle class to increase demand to companies so they'd actually need to hire more workers to keep up, 3) An actual
bipartisan fix to Obamacare to lessen the burden on small businesses, stabilize the exchanges etc. Plus none of the racist crap, no wedge issues like NFL flag, no bringing in Bannon, no unnecessary Muslim ban, a bipartisan agreement to allow DACA kids but tough border control &
end to chain migration. If he had come in & done those things, I guarantee his approval rating would have been MUCH higher than it is now, and even if many on my side still hated him, he'd at least have a lot more support in the middle. Do you see there coulda been a better way?
