“Nigerians are impatient people!” - President Buhari

I can’t get over this ridiculous and irritating statement. And I’m just pissed.

As in, has this guy any dignity? Has he seen impatient people? I will give you a few examples...

ARAB SPRING, staring Tunisia and Egypt, that’s an example of people who have had it.

Ask Iranians why they are protesting at the moment.

All these people had a better standard of living and life expectancy than us.

If I save 1 Naira every day of this year, I would have saved 1 dollar by the end of it. What does living below poverty level mean again?

Think about that, you unrepentant illiterate we are unfortunate to call a President, and tell me we are impatient.

When you wanted our votes, you promised heaven and earth. You said on national TV you would stop dwindling prices of crude oil. That was the day I lost all hope in you but my people wouldn’t listen.

I told them you were the most uninformed person ever to vie for the office of Nigerian President.

Your campaign promises gave you away: $1-N1, petrol price at N50, 1 refinery per year, 3m jobs every year, the list is endless (and ridiculous)

I told my people you and your party APC were a scam.

But they would rather see it as me campaigning for President Jonathan, a man we were all happy to hate.

When you came into office, I was an early critic. Your uncouth spokesman called us Wailers and that resonated well with you. You said we were 5% and deserve nothing.

People asked me to cut you some slacks and I promised to give you a chance.

But what happened? No Ministers, no governance, for 6 months. You banned importation without alternatives, starved the economy of liquidity, ran the country on autopilot, till everything went aground.

Your incompetent monetary policy made Dollar scarce and the price soared. N510-$1. We could not produce our needs, so we had to import anyways. Informal market. Prices went up at the mercies of smugglers.

Yet your wife (and some of your friends) fed fat on the dollar situation.

Or so it was alleged.

You also increased fuel price by about 80%. That’s the most basic commodity, our economy’s primary driver.

No increment in minimum wage.

What did you expect would happen?

For an import dependent economy, dollar value determines price of commodity.

Our papers didn’t add up, our accounts didn’t balance.

Your government, in deceit, declared recession.

Really? Do you even know what that word means? I pray we never witness recession!

There was never recession. It was all lies. Your Ministers and officials lied to you.

Your government’s economic policies made prices rise, and the people naturally felt the brunt. Thus, hardship. This is a consumer economy.

Think about this, Mr. President.

There are many things we are not happy about, Mr. President

Under your watch, we habour the 1st and 4th deadliest Terrorist Groups in the world - Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsmen. Kidnapping is now a national racket. Some police officers pose bigger security threat to our lives.

Every year, your budget performance by December has averaged 20%. Since December, there had been no petrol, despite the hike. You said there is no subsidy but your government has been paying. Our partly functioning refineries are now dead. The ones you promised never came.

We’ve lost jobs Sir. 3m. They said you gave them to ghosts.

Standard of living has dropped drastically. Dollar is about N360. Petrol now sells averagely at N250 pl.

Regulatory agencies are killing businesses.

Your corruption fight is a sham. @SenatorShehu said you enhance corrupt practices of your associates but go hard on political enemies.

Human rights records are below the belt.

Tolerance for dissenting views is non-existent.

No need to talk about individual policies and scandals that rock your government daily. That would be petty.

But we still don’t have power. No infrastructure. You took President Jonathan to the cleaners over locomotive trains but you’ve only added 2 locomotives in 2 1/2 years.

And what have we done? Twitter Rants. No protests, no demonstrations, just Twitter rants. TWITTER RANTS!!!

You rape us daily, Mr. President. You take us for fool. You do as you wish and we applaud. Just tweets and you say we are impatient?

I can’t believe this!

On the 3 things you campaigned on -security, corruption and economy revival - you are a monumental failure.

On your basic responsibilities - security, respect for the Constitution and economy - you are a monumental failure.

We rant on Twitter.

And we are impatient?

Mr. President, we are not impatient. We are loyal patient slaughter cows waiting to see what magic you want to perform with the knife you are sharpening.

But note Sir, that our patience is running out.
