1/ One of the big lessons from AI so far is that more data is more effective than better algorithms.
2/ I wonder if the same isn't true about humans as well.
3/ Some of the smartest/wisest people I know have large data sets (from reading, life experiences etc.)
4/ The most helpful content and experiences are those which contains the most surprise in the information theoretic sense...
5/ While still familiar enough that you are able to contextualize them (e.g. reading Kafka in Swahili would have high informational content but would be too unfamiliar to me to contextualize)
