I write historical novels, dudes. Think before you try to tell me things about witch trials, and how they are just like life today.
You will get an unpleasant education in all the things I know about witches, combined with all the things I know about the history of rape.
Given that the history of being a transgressive woman in the world is actually my area of expertise, you might wish to step back.
I have not, for example, seen any dudes accused of sexual harassment being stripped & examined for third nipples, waterboarded, or burned.
Nor have I seen men accused of impossible acts, or deals with the Devil. Instead, I’ve seen many men accused of doing things they...did.
I grant you...it’s LIKE a supernatural situation to have to admit, years later, to doing slimy things you thought you’d gotten away with.
It’s like, one time, you partied with the Devil in goat form, sacrificed some maidens, but that was twenty years ago & no longer relevant.
Still relevant, sorry. It is not a supernatural injustice to be called to task for your history of bad behavior.
