In another foolish move, @realDonaldTrump authorises field commanders to go after "safe havens" in #Afghanistan & #Pakistan. Something that will never happen because the #US has no power in either country to take action. @defencedotpk @PDCMDOfficial

.@ResoluteSupport has been operational in #Afghanistan for almost 16 years, successfully losing 70% of the country to the #Taliban, based on a newly released report. Only 30% is under the control of @ashrafghani's govt in #Kabul, with rumors Kabul is about to fall.
They have also successfully allowed #ISIS to re-structure their base of operations from #Iraq & #Syria to northern #Afghanistan. @AANafgh released a report in 2016 proving that @KarzaiH knowingly provided safe haven to militants, who are now #ISKP.

.@Commander_RS would like to make the world believe that the #US failures in #Afghanistan are due to #Pakistan's support of the #Taliban, refusing to accept that the "Afghan partners" are not paying salaries to armed forces, forcing them to turn to the Taliban for support.
.@StateDept continues to believe that @ashrafghani is a partner in the peace efforts, failing to understand that under his leadership, #Afghanistan has become more corrupt & brought warlords into government. Warlords = #terrorist supporters
And yesterday, the @PentagonPresSec suggested that declassified reports/information should not be made public because it could undermine the #US efforts in #Afghanistan. Literally, we don't want people to know the truth... much like "friendly fire" incidents in #Iraq.
.@realDonaldTrump also suggested that he has issued "new rules of engagement" for #US troops in #Afghanistan, which could mean more #JSOC hit squads, known as the #American #Taliban, for civilian killings. @jeremyscahill
In the meantime, #Pakistan has successfully completed #ZarbeAzb and cleared #FATA of nearly 100% of #terrorist camps and safe havens, pushing them back into #Afghanistan, their true base of operations. Image
.@realDonaldTrump's #SouthAsia Strategy is more comedy from his administration. He has neither done nor said anything that changes the dynamic on ground in the region.

This morning, #NewOrleans was the target of a #VBIED, which thankfully didn't detonate.

The Mayor of New Orleans has called it a terrorist attack. We agree, because it follows the hallmarks of an ISIS Lone Wolf attack.

The @FBINewOrleans field office says it wasn't.

A man, driving an explosives laden truck, rams into a crowd of people, killing 12 (current count), emerges with an assault rifle, while being shot by police. He was dead on the scene.

How is that not a terror attack?

Is the @FBI attempting to cover up their own failure of tracking potential terror threats in New Orleans?
What is more concerning for us is...

With the collaboration of Mexican drug cartels and human traffickers, many ISIS & al Qaeda terrorists have been smuggled into the US over the past 2 years. Many have entered the US as refugees and asylum seekers.

Those terrorists are hiding in sleeper cells waiting for the green light from Afghanistan to carry out their attacks.

Europeans are already fighting this problem, but in the US, the objective is a spectacular, multi-city simultaneous attack, which they have completed their planning, surveillance & weapons acquisition.

During the Biden administration, a lackluster @DHSgov, @FBI & @CIA have largely missed the triggers & inflows, thus they have no idea where these cells are or what their targets could be.

2025 will be a very bad year for Americans, as terrorism is on their mainland now.

"The Justice Department is fighting the release of a Virginia man, Brad Spafford, whose house was raided in early December resulting in what a federal prosecutor called the “largest seizure of homemade explosives in FBI history.”

He was originally arrested for having an unregistered short barrel rifle, but upon an @FBI JTTF search of his home, they found:

- over 150 pipe bombs
- a jar of HTMD, a high-grade explosive

According to informants, Spafford wanted to bring back political assassinations, was preparing for 300 to 400-yard sniper qualification using a picture of Joe Biden for target practice.

The same informant, after the failed @realDonaldTrump assassination said - "Bro, I hope they don’t miss Kamala."

The judge hearing the case released him with restrictions - live with his mother and wear an monitoring device. The prosecutor immediately filed to have him held in detention, which was granted.

This is where America is headed. It's not just brown terrorists, but white ones too.

As the #Taliban continue to claim moving #TTP fighters to western #Afghanistan, TTP fighters have been confirmed in northern AFG, today the head of district intelligence of the Taliban’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GID) can under attack in #Badakhshah province.

Some interesting reports coming out of #Afghanistan over the past few days:

- roughly 2,000 #Taliban suicide bombers have been moved to the #Iran|ian border since the end of May.
- #ISKP has also started moving their fighters to northern #Afghanistan, according to sources within an anti-#Taliban group. They are being moved to #Badakhshan, #Takhar and some others.

Apparently, there are both @CIA and #ISI fingerprints on this.
- #Taliban are moving its fighters closer to the #Tajikistan border. Fighters are also moving to the #Badakhshan province, bordering #Tajikistan.

- #TTP have become so emboldened to expand their operations around #Pakistan, including new waliyats in #Balochistan & #Punjab.

Let's take this thread into more context for those outside the region, and those unfamiliar with the #TTP operations in #Swat.

The #TTP typically move through 2 routes:

- from #Afghanistan to #Elum in #Buner to either of their bases in #Ghat, south of #MalamJabba.
The 2nd route is from #Kunar, #Afghanistan through #LowerDir or #Bajaur to #GhatPeochar, the former stronghold of the #TTP during #Fazlullah's occupation of #Swat.

It was also one of the most difficult battle is the fight to reclaim Swat from the #terrorists.
We know of both police and military operations on going in areas including #GhatPeochar, mountains around #MalamJabba, #Charbagh, and #Banjot.

The #TTP occupation in #Swat is significantly more than is being reported in the domestic media.

Many villages are under TTP control, and search operations have been on-going for more than 5 months.

It is no surprise that the TTP has returned to Swat for us @commandeleven.
For the past 3 years, we have repeatedly informed and warned that the TTP presence was growing and their influence was increasing.

Deaf ears.

We have repeatedly argued against the negotiating table, because it is a sign of weakness.

Why should we negotiate?
The news of Gen. #FaizHameed's deal to hand over parts of #KPK to #TTP, in return for peace for the country - that is accepting defeat and emboldening the enemy.

Is it any surprise that there was a significant uptick in violence from December onwards, when TTP walked away again?

Why must @ImranKhanPTI disgrace #Pakistan with his confused history?

During the war with the #Soviets, there was no #alQaeda or #Taliban. There was only #Mujahideen.

After the Soviet withdrawal & civil war, the Taliban emerged. There is no mujahideen in #Afghanistan today.
A major part of #Pakistan’s #PR problem is confused narratives driving confused perceptions.

We didn’t train the #Mujahideen alone. We had help from the #US, @CIA & #SaudiArabia.

Why does the PM forget this & place on the responsibility on Pakistan alone?
What is #Pashtun nationalism’s role in the war on terror?

All the insurgents that attacked #Pakistan post-#LalMasjid were ideological driven. Nothing to do with ethnic or linguistic roots.

It was the creation of the #TTP which kicked off mass #terror attacks in Pakistan.
