First and foremost, I don't mean to knock on libssh here or make it seem like libssh is anything other than an awesome project where people volunteer their time and thinking to improving the world's security. We analyze for interesting lessons, not to poke!
O.k. let's get into it. So in this libssh bug basically a libssh server (which are rare!) can be coaxed into letting you log in if you send it a message that says "Hey authentication succeeded".

1) There’s a lot of BS about @nntaleb’s Black Swan, antifragility & skin in da game. Let’s take the gloves off and get into trouble.
2) When the Swan flew out, it was immediately butchered by imbeciles not understanding that you can’t predict the unpredictable.

That is the point – and an IQ filter NNT himself proly did not expect.

So, this shutdown deal that's being talked up. It's certainly not the outcome I would most hope for, but it may be (or lead to) one of the best plausible outcomes.

What matters far more than what happens today is what happens between now and February 8th.
My understanding is that DACA protections don't expire until March, and the courts have stayed deportations in the interim. I don't believe that's changed.
You can see it as the Democrats caving to a promise they have no reason to expect to be kept.

But McConnell has created a situation where he can't get another deal based on a promise. He delivers or come February 8th, the whole thing shuts down again amid a complete impasse.
