12/ The other thing that @AndyKroll's story does so well is expose the power of mega donors. The Mercers were able to foist Cambridge Analytica on a series of campaigns, despite its dubious track record.
13/ Maybe by the end, they were able to pull off the targeting they promised. Maybe they helped the Russians. There's a lot we still don't know. But we DO know that the Mercers, like other mega donors, have way too much power.
